25 Lines for 25 Years

Hi Guys! So as you all know just over two months ago I turned 25! I don't think day by day I have felt any real difference, however looking back even to this time last year everything has changed! So I thought why not share with you 25 lines that have brought me to my 25 years.

Hola Barcelona!

Do you ever feel time flash before yours eyes? I do, especially now that I am 25! Personally I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate it than go to Barcelona, so off I went with my travel partner in crime Nina.  Looking through my photos once again I yearn for those evenings with sandals and sleeveless tops but alas, flicking through the photos on my phone I keep my big smile on my face, perhaps a memory that will never really fade.

The Perfect Long Weekend Getaway : Dublin

Hi guys! I can't believe how quick this month has gone by! Last month I went on a lovely weekend getaway trip to Dublin. I must admit Ireland has never really been on my radar but now I am so glad I went! Dublin is absolutely gorgeous and definitely gave me the travelbug! The people are so friendly, never mind getting lost...you probably WANT to get lost, just to hear their beautiful accent. Coinciding with the 100 years uprising of the Irish, apart from the fact that we almost died on the rooftop of the Guinness Factory of overcrowded suffocation, the Irish passion for culture and history only made us love Dublin more. 3 things to remember on International Women's day

Unless you are living in a hole, or didn't get access to social media or any media for that matter, today is 8 March aka International Women's day. I must admit for most of my life this day has only been noted through the likes of an email from my mother or a random social media post, nothing that stuck with me for more than a second or two. However drawing close to the big 2-5 and hopefully with it a few more added years of wisdom, I feel this day offers ALL of us of both genders, some key points to note.

Time & Beef Launch

Guess what makes me happier than Fridays...BURGERS! After a long week, I excitingly made my way across the bridge to the launch of Time&Beef in Canton, a new burger joint that was so needed in this part of Cardiff.

Situated just a step off the bus stop on Cowbridge Road East, it only took me seconds to find my way to it, with its warm and inviting decor. It's times like this I remember why I blog, Cardiff has so much to offer, supporting local produce and restaurants is a must because especially in this city, I haven't ever fallen in love with anything commercial.

Heyaaaa my beautiful readers, guess where I went when I took time off from work yesterday morning? You guessed it Barbados...the GRAZING SHED!!! 

Voted No.1 Burger Joint in Wales and being only a stones throw from work means that over the last couple months it has become part of my staple diet.

Guys what would brighten up your Monday? Well for me when Monday includes a Lush event, what is there not to like? 

  

Shake(Shack) it out

In case you didn't get it, I am making reference to one of my Queens of music Florence Welsh...anyway back to the point, as promised, after countless post work meals here, it's time for the Shake Shack verdict!

Guys it feels like ageeees since I have blogged, I miss having a quiet evening in bed with a Yankee Candle giving me the right amount of motivation and energy in between the busy life that us Cardiff dwellers lead. But it was lovely recently courtesy of Nina to have a little blogger gathering and finally getting to meet up properly with Ruth. Guys if you haven't already, you must check out their blogs! I honestly get inspired reading so many awesome blogs from Cardiff these days, my other favourites (might as well say it now) are these girls Sophie, Jade and WGP..happy reading!

Lets try this again, shall we! Don't get me wrong, having tried Shake Shack in Covent Garden, the pre Christmas news of  their opening in Cardiff had me buzzing! As expected it didn't disappoint. St Davids were brilliant to choose the location near the exit, for people like me, working in the city, as this means not having to walk around the mall to get in and out quickly. 

New Year, Same Me

I would like to apologise for my absence lately as I have been off home to Vienna to spend some much needed time with my family and friends over Christmas! But now with the first week back at work over and done with, I am ready for 2016!

However as much as I hate looking back in life, 2015 has been a great year too! To sum it up, I graduated from my MSc, I got a job that I love and was also fortunate enough to have met some crazy cool people. Last year I also pushed myself to start this blog and since that moment it has been brilliant, ironically I find myself in a position now caring less about the opinions of others than I initially thought. I realised through this beautiful process that I was doing this because I love sharing my thoughts and ideas with others.

In the last couple weeks I have read countless posts about the new year, some about the merits of the previous year, others with resolutions for the next and yet here I remain with a few thoughts, mainly confused as to what 2016 may hold for me. In between all the rush of my short trip home I managed to watch 'Lost in Translation' and a Bill Murray line seems to have stuck in my head ever since.
